So what on Earth is a bullet journal you ask? Well I discovered Bullet Journals in the way I discover most exciting new things these days…Pinterest! I loved the creativity of them, how they could be individualized, nothing was set for a year…so I did the plunge and bought myself a Moleskine Classic Collection Squared Notebook. I use an assortment of colorful markers but my go to pen is my Marvy Uchida. I have changed my bullet journal so much in the last 9 months. Some months I hardly used it, some months it ensured my sanity! The great thing about it is when I don’t use it I’m not wasting it like I would be a pre-printed planner. Also I found certain things I liked to list ie. Gratitude, online purchases, menu. Those are never included in a pre-printed version. Now I don’t follow the Bullet Journalling system to a ‘T’. I like to go with my own flow. But I do take a great deal of inspiration from Pinterest and the Facebook group I’m part of.
This is a great video to introduce you to the technique!
These are some pages that I have in my Bullet Journal. I have used Close to my Heart stamps and washi tape to decorate some of my pages. I love how flexible it is!
One of the bullet journalists that really inspire me is Boho Berry. She has stunning lettering and doodles! I drool over hers! I use her as inspiration for ideas and lettering techniques. If you are interested I have a whole Pinterest Board for Journalling! Follow me on Pinterest for new ideas, I’m always pinning something interesting I come across!
I’d love to share ideas on how I incorporate Close to my Heart products into my Bullet Journal, I will be sure to post new pictures as I complete new pages. It’s always a great thing to be able to use our scrapbooking/card making tools for a multitude of things.
So what do you think? Is Bullet Journaling for you? What do you use for a planner? I’d love to know and share ideas, drop me a comment below!
